Hazardous Ice Conditions Reported in Cass County, Minnesota

WALKER, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The Cass County, Minnesota Sheriff is reporting some dangerous ice conditions on Leech Lake and other larger bodies of water.
quickly getting some dangerous ice conditions over in Cass County Minnesota this in from Sheriff Brian wel out of uh Walker Minnesota these are photos of Leech Lake uh saying they’ve received reports of quickly changing ice conditions on large bodies of water including here on Leech Lake high winds we have been experiencing for two days has uh shifted ice creating large open cracks and heaves it is extremely important if you’re traveling on the ice especially in the dark to know and understand the conditions and check ahead as the path you might have taken out is no longer safe to travel on if you traveled out through a resort access or or Landing communicate with the resort operator to understand the conditions and a safe path back to shore Gusty winds are forecasted again for Sunday February 18th and they expect conditions to continue to deteriorate uh making any ice s tra unsafe and unpredictable I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
