Clay County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Justin Mark Hamre, 39, of Lake Park, is facing three criminal charges stemming from a June 7, 2025 incident in Hawley, where he allegedly drove drunk, struck a parked car, and fled the scene.
According to a criminal complaint, a witness reported the crash just after 1:20 a.m., leading officers to follow a trail of debris and leaking fluid to Hamre’s home. There, police found a damaged 2014 Honda Accord with a deployed airbag and located Hamre inside the residence.
Hamre reportedly admitted to driving and striking the vehicle but refused to submit to a breath test at the jail. Officers noted clear signs of alcohol impairment. Hamre has a prior DWI conviction from 2016.
He now faces the following charges:
