Harvey Man Killed in Wells County Crash

WELLS COUNTY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Authorities have released details of a fatal two-vehicle crash northeast of Harvey, North Dakota.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 12:53 p.m. on Friday, October 31st, at the intersection of 29th Street NE and 39th Avenue NE, about two miles northeast of Harvey.

A 2020 Nissan Titan driven by 47-year-old Mark Mears of Harvey was traveling east on 29th Street NE when it collided with a 2025 Case 9260 combine driven by 23-year-old Ethan Arnold of Harvey. The intersection was uncontrolled, and neither driver yielded.

The vehicles collided in a T-bone crash. Mears was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Arnold, who was also unrestrained, was not injured.

Road and weather conditions were reported to be good at the time of the crash. Responding agencies included the Wells County Sheriff’s Office, Harvey Fire Department, and Harvey Ambulance.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
