According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 44-year-old Darek Alan Davidson of Kasson was driving a 2002 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Highway 14 near milepost 188 when the bike struck a deer and crashed into the median. Both Davidson and his passenger, 45-year-old Jamie Jo Fritz of Hayfield, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet. They were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
