NORTH ST. PAUL, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Late Saturday night, a graduation party at Casey Lake Park in North St. Paul turned violent as gunfire erupted, leaving four people injured.
Police received reports of an assault involving gunfire at approximately 10:44 p.m. on May 25. Officers responding to the park, located in the 2100 block of 17th Avenue, discovered four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds.
All four victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where their injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening, according to Sgt. Chris Ahles of the North St. Paul Police Department.
The incident prompted a large-scale response from multiple law enforcement agencies, including North St. Paul, Ramsey County, Washington County, the Minnesota State Patrol, and various local police departments. They encountered a chaotic scene amid a gathering of more than 60 people.
Authorities have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat. The North St. Paul Police Department and the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office are actively investigating the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact investigators at 651-747-2444.
