Gun Confiscated by TSA at Fargo Airport

FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The Transportation Security Administration says an officer found a passenger trying to bring a gun on a plane in Fargo Thursday.
the TSA Transportation Security Administration officers prevented a passenger from bringing a handgun aboard a plane at Hector International Airport in Fargo on Thursday this is the second uh firearm detected at the Fargo airport checkpoint this year three firearms were detected at Fargo security checkpoints in total last year during the routine screening of carry on luggage a TSA officer spotted the image of a handgun on the X-ray screen TSA officers IM immediately alerted Fargo police and an officer responded to the checkpoint the firearm was loaded uh quote bringing a firearm to the checkpoint presents an unnecessary risk to both passengers and Airport employees North Dakota TSA Federal Security director David durgen said we urge passengers to start with an empty bag so you know with certainty there is nothing prohibited inside nationally more than 6700 Firearms were stopped at airport checkpoints in 2023 in addition uh to any action taken by law enforcement TSA finds passengers who bring a firearm to a TSA checkpoint with a civil penal penalty of up to $5,000 I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me a
