GRAND FORKS (trfnews.i234.me) – A homeless woman from Grand Forks is facing felony charges after an alleged assault on a security guard at Altru Hospital’s emergency room.
Cora Davis, whose address is listed as homeless, was charged with felony simple assault after an incident on December 4, 2025. Court documents reveal that Davis refused to change into the required hospital scrubs while receiving care at the emergency room. As security personnel approached to assist, Davis allegedly punched one guard in the chin and vest before dropping to the floor and kicking him in the leg.

Davis now faces a felony charge of assaulting an emergency department worker. She was taken into custody shortly after the incident. Altru Hospital declined to comment further on the situation.
