On July 4, 2022, at approximately 4:09 A.M., officers of the Grand Forks Police Department were notified of a robbery that had just occurred in the 1800 block of 28th Ave South. The victim was entering a nearby apartment complex when an unknown male subject grabbed her purse which was over her shoulder. The suspect got onto a bicycle and fled the scene.


The suspect was described as male, Caucasian, approximately 5’8”, slim build and having short hair. The suspect was wearing a sleeveless shirt, gray shorts, and a hat. It is believed the suspect is in his early 20s. At this time, the suspect remains unidentified.

Some evidence from the incident was recovered by officers in the area of Westminster Court. Grand Forks residents and business owners in this area are encouraged to check any outdoor cameras they own, in an attempt to help identify the male suspect.
