GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A 24-year-old Grand Forks man, Allen Jaborie Ticordiyae Little, is scheduled for a jury trial on January 6-7 following his final dispositional conference on November 14. Little has maintained his not guilty plea to charges of aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless endangerment, both Class C felonies carrying maximum penalties of five years in prison.

The incident occurred on May 25 at Abbott Sports Complex, where a verbal dispute during a basketball game escalated into a physical altercation. Authorities reported that Little retrieved a handgun from his vehicle after the fight ended and allegedly shot the other man.

Video evidence reportedly shows Little holding the handgun and striking the victim during the altercation. Witness accounts confirmed the shooting, and Little admitted to police that he fired the weapon, stating he did not intend to kill. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated at a hospital.
