GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me)—Robert Barrett Yahnke, a 61-year-old man, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in methamphetamine distribution. Yahnke pleaded guilty on Monday, Jan. 27, to multiple felony charges, including the delivery of at least 50 grams of methamphetamine and possession with intent to deliver.
Yahnke admitted to selling methamphetamine to an undercover agent and a confidential informant on five separate occasions. The transactions, detailed in court affidavits, involved approximately 137.8 grams of methamphetamine.
Details of the Sentence
Yahnke was convicted of the following charges:
- Two Class A Felonies: Delivery and possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver (each involving over 50 grams).
- Four Class B Felonies: Methamphetamine delivery and three counts of possession with intent to deliver.
Under a plea agreement, Yahnke was sentenced to 20 years with the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, of which he will serve 10 years, with credit for 139 days served. The remaining 10 years are suspended, and he will be on supervised probation for three years following his release.
