Grand Forks (trfnews.i234.me) – In a disturbing case out of Grand Forks County, authorities say 25-year-old Reece Ravenhorst—whose address is now listed in Nevis, Minnesota—has been charged with two felony counts of terrorizing domestic violence and three misdemeanor domestic violence charges. These charges stem from horrifying incidents that allegedly took place at an apartment on University Avenue in Grand Forks in October 2023 and again in February 2024.
According to court documents, Ravenhorst is accused of holding a firearm to the female victim’s head while also kicking her in the head. In one of the incidents, he reportedly used a set of keys to assault her when she attempted to flee the apartment. Prosecutors say they have video evidence of the attack.
Ravenhorst made his initial court appearance, entered a not-guilty plea, and was released on bond. To protect the victim, a no-contact order has been issued. His next court appearance is scheduled for May 19th.
