Grand Forks County (trfnews.i234.me) — In a deeply unsettling incident this week, a child was struck in a hit-and-run near Agassiz School in Grand Forks at the intersection of 6th Avenue North and North 39th Street.
According to Grand Forks Police Chief Rodney Clark, speaking with TRF News early Tuesday morning, authorities have identified a suspect driver, but no charges have been filed yet — a detail leaving many in the community shocked and demanding answers.
The child, fortunately, is believed to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but the event has rattled residents, especially given the close proximity to a school.
Chief Clark emphasized that the case is still developing and assured the public that updates will be provided as soon as further action is taken.
