Grand Forks County: Raymond Lee Graham Jr. Pleads Guilty to Federal Firearm Possession

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me)—On January 23, 2025, Raymond Lee Graham Jr., 37, from Grand Forks County, entered a guilty plea to the federal charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The plea agreement suggests a sentence at the lower end of the applicable Sentencing Guidelines range, though it does not specify an exact duration. Both the prosecution and defense have agreed that the base offense level for Graham’s conduct is 24. According to federal guidelines, this offense level recommends a prison term between 51 and 125 months, depending on the individual’s criminal history.

Initially, in June 2024, law enforcement discovered 1.2 pounds of marijuana, seven grams of marijuana coated in a substance resembling methamphetamine, empty baggies, synthetic urine, and a box containing 18 THC vape pens inside Graham’s vehicle. A firearm was also found in his possession. The case was first filed in district court but was dismissed approximately a month later after Graham was indicted in federal court on the firearm possession charge. Court records indicate that Graham’s criminal history includes attempted robbery, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Sentencing is set for 2:30 p.m. on May 28, 2025.
