Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Goodridge man is charged after a reported incident in a vehicle. The complaint says the case involved unwanted sexual contact.

Blake Tearle Amorim Athay, 27, of Goodridge, is charged in Pennington County District Court. Court records list one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fifth Degree. The charge is a gross misdemeanor.

What investigators say happened
According to the complaint, an adult woman with initials B.F. called police. She reported her daughter, listed as “X,” was touched inappropriately.
The complaint says “X” drove Athay home after a Christmas party. It says Athay had been drinking. “X” was reported to be sober.
The complaint says another person was also in the vehicle. That person reportedly witnessed the incident.
While driving, Athay allegedly tried to grab “X’s” hand. The complaint says “X” told him to stop. It says he continued to reach toward her body.
The complaint alleges Athay touched intimate parts without consent. It also says the other passenger told him to stop. The complaint says the passenger pulled Athay’s arm away.
After they arrived at Athay’s residence, the complaint says he got out. It says “X” locked the doors and left. The complaint says she returned to the party and told her mother.
Possible penalties and next steps
The complaint lists a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine. A judge can also order other conditions if there is a conviction.
Charges are allegations. Athay is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
