Goodhue County: 78-Year-Old’s Car Flips After Hitting Stalled Vehicle on

Red Wing, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – On Monday, April 7, 2025, at approximately 1:14 PM, a serious single-vehicle crash occurred on southbound Highway 58 near Bush Street in Red Wing, Goodhue County. A 2003 Chevrolet Impala, driven by 78-year-old William James Auchampach of Red Wing, collided with an unoccupied, stalled vehicle on the shoulder. The impact caused the Impala to roll over, coming to rest on its roof.

Emergency responders, including the Red Wing Police Department, Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, and Red Wing Ambulance, arrived promptly at the scene. Auchampach sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Red Wing for treatment. Authorities confirmed that the road conditions were dry at the time of the incident, and neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the crash.Rochester Post Bulletin
