Clearwater County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 73-year-old woman from Gonvick has been charged with 1st-degree felony controlled substance sale after police raided her home and discovered a sizable quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

According to court documents, on June 25, 2025, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Kathleen Mary Richardson’s home on Main Street following ongoing complaints of drug activity. Officers had observed suspicious short-stay visits and even individuals yelling “Kathleen” with cash in hand.

Inside the home, police found 17.9 grams of methamphetamine in her purse, “dime” baggies, digital scales, psychoactive mushrooms, pipes, and used syringes. Richardson admitted to distributing meth, stating she trades it for companionship due to loneliness and denied selling for money.

She was transported to Sanford in Bagley for a medical emergency and was released to hospital care. If convicted, Richardson faces up to 30 years in prison and/or a $1 million fine.
