Gilbert, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — An Ely, Minnesota man is facing serious criminal charges following a chaotic and aggressive incident at his ex-girlfriend’s home in Gilbert on May 3rd.
According to court documents, around 911 dispatchers overheard the female victim screaming at William R. Griffith to leave her residence. During the call, she accused him of putting his hands on her and taking her phone to prevent her from calling for help.
The victim later told authorities that Griffith barged into her bedroom, apparently witnessing something that enraged him. He reportedly exclaimed, “Oh, really? This is what you’re doing?” before picking up a dog and throwing it toward her.
Griffith then left the residence but allegedly tried to sabotage the vehicle of another person outside by letting the air out of their tires.
Following the incident, Griffith was arrested and now faces the following charges:
-
Felony First-Degree Burglary
-
Misdemeanor Interrupts 911 Call
-
Misdemeanor Disorderly Conduct
The case highlights the dangers of domestic-related confrontations and the critical importance of immediate police intervention. Griffith is expected to appear in court for these charges soon.
