Slow down and move over. There’s no excuse!
Thankfully, tow truck driver Phil Henkemeyer walked away from this crash unhurt. It’s the second scary crash for him in just over a year.
During Crash Responder Safety Week in November, he spoke to educate drivers about the Move Over Law. At that time, he talked about how his rig was hit from behind while he helped a motorist on the side of the road. Unfortunately, he was just hit again.
Whether it’s Phil, another tow truck driver, a law enforcement officer or any crash responder — they shouldn’t have to fear being hit on the side of the road. Move over and slow down. It’s the law!
SERIOUSLY! SLOW DOWN!!
Second time in a year that this truck and operator have been hit!
The operator is ok!
He was on the shoulder, not even over the white line and a young kid admitted doing 65mph on these glare ice roads!
Pictures don’t do justice. The thing is destroyed.
The driveshaft on the ground, engine oil is everywhere, broken front shocks, bent suspension arm, the cab is destroyed, etc
People, SLOW DOWN!
Tonight’s roads are the worst we’ve had all year in our area. People are still driving 70+ MPH.
It’s the LAW in Minnesota, SLOW DOWN AND MOVE OVER! YES. A LAW.
YES. TOW TRUCKS ARE INCLUDED!
TOW TRUCKS ARE CONSIDERED AN EMERGENCY VEHICLES!!
If your brother, husband, dad, or friend is working somewhere alongside the road and you knew that, I bet you’d slow down and move over!
DO IT FOR US TOO!!
