Happy National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week! We want to say “THANK YOU” to our dispatchers who are our FIRST first responders. They are the unseen heroes of public safety, and the first people you hear when you call for help. Serving multiple agencies throughout our county, including Law Enforcement, Fire, and EMS — our dispatchers are working behind the scenes to respond to 911 calls, dispatch emergency personnel as needed, and at times providing life saving instructions until help arrives. They responded to 2,683 calls last year and are averaging 227 calls per month so far this year. Our Marshall County dispatchers are also responsible for the safety and security within the Marshall County Jail. Thank you, dispatchers for your hard work and for keeping our county safe !! 💛
