MISSING PERSONS ALERT: Mankato Public Safety is asking for the public’s assistance in locating two missing people, Koran Kory Brown, 2, and his father, Walter Brown, 29. Walter left a residence in the 1200 block of Pohl Road in Mankato with Koran on or around March 23 after an altercation with the child’s mother. Walter’s last known communication was with an acquaintance around 2:30 p.m. on March 24. Neither Walter nor Koran has been seen or heard from since and there is concern for their welfare.
Koran Brown is a Black male child. He is 2 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 40 pounds with brown eyes with dark-colored hair. Walter Brown is a Black man, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. He has dreadlocks with blonde tips, a beard and visible neck tattoos.
The incident was reported to Mankato Public Safety on March 29 and investigative work has been ongoing. The investigation remains active and the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is assisting with the case.
