Fort Totten Man Arrested After Seven-Hour Standoff, Faces Multiple Felony Charges

GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Collin Wade Posey, 32, from Fort Totten, was apprehended by Grand Forks law enforcement after a tense seven-hour standoff on July 22. Posey now faces three Class C felony charges: burglary, preventing arrest, and criminal mischief, which together could result in up to five years in prison. The incident began when an FBI agent spotted Posey, a wanted fugitive with multiple outstanding warrants, near a Grand Forks apartment building. Posey allegedly dove through a window to evade capture, leading to the standoff. Law enforcement eventually found him hiding behind a couch in the apartment and arrested him. His next court appearance is set for September 16.
