AYR, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – A harrowing crash occurred on Saturday morning just northwest of Ayr, when a semi-truck hauling gravel collided with a train. According to reports from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, visibility was near-zero due to dense fog.
The incident unfolded as a 36-year-old man driving the semi was headed east on Cass County 4 and failed to see the crossing arms. Tragically, his vehicle struck a railcar in the middle of the train, causing significant damage.
Miraculously, the driver had only minor injuries and was taken to a Fargo hospital for treatment. The Highway Patrol responded quickly to the scene and began investigating the crash.
This story is developing, and we will provide updates as more information becomes available.
