Fly a flag in honor of your loved one at The National WWII Museum

The new Commemorative Flag program at The National WWII Museum in New Orleans offers a meaningful way to pay tribute to your loved ones or recognize their service and sacrifice. It is our distinct privilege to be able to raise the Red, White, and Blue in honor of your hero.

Your 3’ by 5’ American flag will be flown above the Museum – New Orleans’s #1 attraction. The flag will then be shipped to you in a gift box with a commemorative certificate bearing your honoree’s name and the date the flag was flown.

Our catalog of tribute gifts—including bricks, pavers, books, and more—showcases other unique ways to pay homage to US veterans of all wars and conflicts, Home Front workers, Holocaust victims and survivors, individuals who exemplify the American spirit, and loved ones, so that their legacies can be preserved for future generations. By selecting one of our commemorative gifts, you can join us in honoring their stories.

You can share your own hero’s story with family and friends with our elegant, 44-page hardcover Commemorative Book immortalizing the story of America’s role in World War II through powerful and awe-inspiring images from the Museum’s archive. Choose from two new cover images—Iwo Jima and the American flag—and personalize with up to three lines of text.

The National WWII Museum proudly honors the bravery and sacrifice of the WWII generation. Your participation in our new flag-flying program supports our mission to tell the story of the American experience in the war that changed the world—why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today—so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.
