WHITE EARTH RESERVATION, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – The tragic death of 28-year-old Emily Stevens on the White Earth Reservation remains shrouded in mystery five years later. Stevens, a mother of three, was struck and killed by a car while walking home from the Shooting Star Casino near Bagley on September 12, 2019. Her family is marking the somber anniversary by renewing their plea for justice.

Emily’s sisters, Jenna and Tessa Messer, have been vocal in their call for answers. “I have one picture of Emily in my house because it’s so painful; I can’t bear to see more,” Jenna Messer shared. The family is grappling with the emotional toll of not knowing who is responsible for her death.

Authorities believe they have identified the vehicle involved and know the suspects. However, the investigation has stalled due to a lack of concrete evidence and uncooperative witnesses. “It’s infuriating to know that people have information but refuse to come forward,” Tessa Stevens said, expressing frustration with those who have not helped.

The family suspects that some close relatives might hold crucial information. “If just one of them would speak up, I believe we’d make progress in the case,” Jenna Messer added.

Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson confirmed that the case is still active but has not yielded significant new leads. The Stevens family continues to wait for closure and justice for Emily.

Anyone with information about Emily Stevens’ death is urged to contact the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office at (218) 694-6226.
