MAYVILLE, NORTH DAKOTA (trfnews.i234.me) — A Sunday morning fire destroyed a building at Mayville State University in Mayville, North Dakota.

According to early reports, the fire broke out around 10:40 a.m. Sunday at the university’s football field. The structure, identified as a restroom building located near the stadium, was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.

Mayville Fire Department officials said crews were able to bring the fire under control, but the building was a total loss. No injuries were reported, and university property outside the structure was not damaged.

The North Dakota State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to assist with the investigation, which will begin Monday. The exact cause of the blaze has not yet been determined.

Photos from a TRF News viewer show heavy smoke and flames rising from the restroom facility. Firefighters remained on the scene for several hours, ensuring that the fire was completely extinguished and the area secured.

Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available from investigators and Mayville State University officials.
