HUBBARD COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — An early Thursday morning fire destroyed the Bully Barn Bar, a longtime establishment located about four miles north of Park Rapids, Minnesota.

According to reports, the blaze broke out in the early morning hours of October 9, engulfing the building formerly known as George’s Bar. Video submitted by TRF News viewers showed intense flames consuming the structure as firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

Authorities say the building was a total loss. No human injuries were reported, but a Facebook post from the owners indicated that one of their three dogs may have been lost in the fire. The other two dogs reportedly escaped safely.

Local fire crews responded quickly, but the structure was already fully involved when they arrived. Nearby residents reported seeing heavy smoke and flames from several miles away.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials from the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office and local fire departments are assisting with the inquiry.

The Bully Barn, once known as George’s Bar, was a well-known spot in the Park Rapids area for food, drinks, and live music. It had recently undergone renovations under its current ownership.
