WEST FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – Fire crews from Fargo and West Fargo responded to a smoke incident at Family Fare on 13th Avenue Thursday afternoon, caused by a burned-out motor on a produce cooler.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., customers and employees noticed an electrical smoke odor in the building. Shortly after, a heavy smoke condition developed in the back of the store, prompting an emergency response.
Fire Department Response
West Fargo Fire Chief Dan Fuller provided details on the incident:
“People in the building had smelled electrical smoke. By the time we got here, there was a heavy smoke condition in the back of the store. We did investigate, we called in additional companies from Fargo.”
Firefighters quickly identified a burned-out motor on a produce cooler as the source of the smoke.
No Injuries – Store Reopened
- No injuries were reported.
- The store was temporarily evacuated but reopened shortly after the situation was under control.
- No official damage estimate has been released.
