Oronoco Township, MN (trfnews.i234.me) — On Friday, May 9, 2025, at approximately 11:38 a.m., a significant two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Highway 63 and 18th Avenue NW in Oronoco Township, Olmsted County. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2022 Audi A4 driven by 19-year-old Matthew Charles Nickelsen of Rochester was traveling westbound on Highway 63 when it collided with a 2007 Honda Fit, operated by 63-year-old Robert Edward Segner of Eyota, which was heading southbound on 18th Avenue NW.
The impact of the crash resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to all three individuals involved. Nickelsen, Segner, and his passenger, 62-year-old Angela June Segner, also of Eyota, were transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester for treatment.
Emergency responders from the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Rochester Police Department, Rochester Fire Department, and Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service assisted at the scene. The road conditions were dry at the time of the incident, and all parties were wearing seat belts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
