FERGUS FALLS, MN (trfnews.i234.me)—On January 23, 2025, at approximately 11:05 a.m., a sergeant was dispatched to Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, in response to a disturbance involving a psychiatric patient in the emergency room. The patient, identified as Logan Anthony Seitz, had been transferred from a behavioral health facility the previous day due to homicidal ideations and had expressed intentions to commit mass harm on his birthday, January 25.

Upon arrival, the sergeant spoke with an ER nurse who reported that Seitz had been allowed a phone call to his case manager. During the conversation, Seitz became agitated, smashed the hospital’s phone, valued at $1,300, into the hallway, and caused a disturbance in the emergency room.

Law enforcement entered the room and found Seitz seated on his bed. He was informed of his arrest and, while being escorted to the patrol car, stated that he had told his case manager he intended to kill them by slitting their throat. Seitz believed this would lead to his arrest for terroristic threats.

The case manager confirmed that Seitz had made comments about becoming a mass murderer while at the behavioral health center. He claimed to have stolen knives from a Dollar Tree store and planned to “go out in a blaze of glory” on his birthday. Seitz also threatened the case manager, stating he would find them, slit their throat, and watch them bleed out. He added that anyone attempting to stop him would also die.

As a result, Seitz has been charged with felony counts of threats of violence and criminal damage to property, as well as a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct.
