FEMALE VICTIM: “Help Me”, Barnsville Man Charged In Becker County, MN

BECKER COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A Barnsville, Minnesota man is facing a string of criminal charges in rural Detroit Lakes involving a female victim.
Brett Allen Anderson of Barnesville, Minnesota is facing a string of criminal charges involving threats, assault, and dangerous weapons in rural Detroit Lakes. Uh reading in part from the statement of uh probable cause on September 17th at 9:45 uh p.m. Law enforcement from the Becker County Sheriff’s Office dispatched to an area of a minimum maintenance road and county highway 22 in Detroit Lakes. Dispatch received an open line call with a female saying, “Help me.” A physical altercation could be heard occurring. The female also stated law enforcement needed to hurry up because there was a male trying to kill her and that he had weapons. A deputy arrived on scene and located an adult male getting into the driver’s seat of a white Mercedes Benz. Law enforcement made contact with the male identified as Anderson. The deputy also observed a another car parked at the location and located the uh adult female curled up on the uh driver’s door by the driver’s door crying. The victim stated that her car broke down and she called Anderson uh for assistance uh that she had had an romantic relationship with him. Anderson began arguing with her. The victim locked herself in her car and Anderson was trying to pry the door open using a hammer and pry bar. The victim stated while trying to pry into the car, Anderson was telling the victim he was going to hurt and kill her. The victim reported to the deputy that she was scared shitless. The victim stated that Anderson has physically harmed her in the past and the deputy observed primarks and damage to the victim’s vehicle. Uh report goes on to say over 100 grams of what’s believed to be methaciz drug paraphernalia and brass knuckles. Anderson now facing four felony charges of threats of violence dangerous weapon brass knuckles domestic assault felony and possession of meth. I’m Bob Carlson reporting for iwe.tv.
