Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A felony domestic assault charge has been dismissed in Becker County District Court against Tasha Rae Burrow, 41, of rural Detroit Lakes.
According to court records, on the evening of May 28, 2022, a deputy responded to a disturbance at the Country Manor mobile home park. A young man reported that his older relative, Burrow, was very intoxicated and upset. When he tried to escort her out of the residence, she began swinging at him.
The deputy noted a long scratch on the young man’s neck and nose. The young man expressed fear for his safety and his younger sister’s. He also stated that Burrow had kicked him in the face while he was trying to restrain her.
The deputy spoke to the sister, who confirmed witnessing Burrow’s erratic behavior and saw her kick her brother multiple times, including in the face.
Burrow has three prior domestic violence convictions from 2015, 2017, and 2020.
On April 18, the felony assault charge was dismissed by the Becker County Attorney’s Office in the interests of justice. “The Defendant has been found incompetent to stand trial and is the subject of civil commitment proceedings,” according to court records.
