GRAND FORKS, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – Charges have been filed against 32-year-old Collin Posey following a tense standoff on July 22nd in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Posey, wanted by the FBI for drug-related offenses, was seen fleeing from authorities and diving into an open apartment window. The apartment’s tenant reported an unauthorized entry, prompting a major response from law enforcement.
From 4:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on that day, Grand Forks Police and FBI agents, supported by SWAT, crisis negotiators, and bomb teams, surrounded the building. Despite attempts to negotiate, Posey, believed to be armed, remained inside. The situation was resolved when the SWAT team used escalating force tactics to remove him from the apartment. Posey was arrested without incident and is now charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and preventing arrest. No injuries were reported during the standoff.
