FBI and ATF Join Investigation of Pipe Bomb Incident in Northwestern Minnesota

OKLEE, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The FBI and ATF are now involved in pipe bomb investigation near Oklee, Minnesota. As of 4 pm Monday afternoon there have been no arrests in the case,
here’s the latest from the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Department regarding pipe bombs found near Oakley on Sunday the Sheriff’s Department says at 11 P 11:00 a.m. on Sunday the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that some bomb-making materials were found near a hunting Shack inequality Township northeast of Oakley a Red Lake County deputy responded to the scene and found what appeared to be several pipe bombs in a container hidden in a rubble pile in the complaintants property it did not appear that the bombs were placed there to be detonated appeared someone had just placed the bombs there to attempt to store and hide them the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office contacted the bomb squad in Grand Forks they were willing to assist but had to get authorization to cross state lines from the Minnesota duty officer the Minnesota duty officer was contacted and they dispatched The Crow Wing County bomb squad out of Brainerd Red Lake County law enforcement secured the scene and waited for the bomb squad technicians from Crow Wing County to arrive around 4:30 to bomb technicians arrived on the scene the bombs were disabled and this is on Sunday and the property was searched for any other explosives or dangerous items evidence was collected and the property was deemed safe the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office is working with the FBI and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms to investigate the case it’s still under investigation and no further information will be released at this time if anyone has any information that’d be helpful in finding who placed the bombs at this location they are asked to contact the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV you
