Isaac Freeman III, better known as Fatman Scoop, a towering figure in the music world, has died at the age of 55. Renowned for his booming voice and high-energy performances, Fatman Scoop made an indelible mark on the dance music scene with his 1999 hit “Be Faithful” featuring Crooklyn Clan.
Born and raised in Harlem, New York, Fatman Scoop’s breakthrough came with “Be Faithful,” which, despite a modest debut in the U.S., became a massive success when re-released in the UK in 2003. The track topped charts across Europe and became a dance floor staple, earning Scoop international acclaim.
Scoop’s dynamic presence was felt across numerous hits, including Timbaland’s “Drop” (2001), Lil Jon’s “Salt Shaker” remix (2004), Missy Elliott’s “Lose Control” (2005), Mariah Carey’s “It’s Like That” (2005), and Janet Jackson’s “So Excited” remix (2006).
