Narrative:

On December 27, 2024, at approximately 4:25 PM Central Time, a 2021 Jeep Gladiator operated by a 79-year-old male from Almont was traveling southbound on Highway 31 near Mile Marker 89, approximately 5 miles south of Hannover. The vehicle departed the roadway, entering the east ditch, where it struck a culvert. This impact caused the vehicle to become airborne over a waterway before it landed on its driver’s side and came to a stop. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The North Dakota Highway Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
