Benson County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Jamestown woman was killed in a rollover crash on 65th Avenue NE, south of U.S. Highway 2, in Benson County on July 26, 2025. The crash occurred near the transition from pavement to gravel, though the exact time of the incident is still unknown.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, investigators discovered a submerged 1999 Toyota Camry in Stink Lake. Tire marks at the scene indicated the vehicle left the road, entered the west ditch, rolled over large rocks, and came to rest on its roof in the water.

The 67-year-old female driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Multiple agencies responded, including the North Dakota Highway Patrol, U.S. Border Patrol, North Dakota Game and Fish Department, Lake Region Search & Rescue, Leeds Ambulance Service, and Leeds Fire Department.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
