a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Park Rapids Minnesota at 5:45 p.m. Friday the Minnesota state patrol says the driver 37-year-old Lacy Johansson of Park Rapids was Eastbound in a jeep uh Cherokee when she struck a pedestrian uh here by Lake Avenue the uh subject stated she believed she had struck an animal but that her phone was dead and she was unable to stop immediately because of traffic she returned to the scene but continued on when she saw emergency vehicles and then called 911 later to follow up the victim 68-year-old Willard Pilla of Park Rapids uh died later at the hospital the patrol says it’s unknown whether uh Johansson was uh had alcohol involvement uh the patrol says the victim uh there was alcohol involved I’m Neil Berg reporting for in.tv

This girl is my old teacher she was the best in pr school. So stop saying stuff and hating saying she should be in perison. She would never do anything to hurt anyone. On that day it was very foggy couldn’t even see the street lights less if u was like 5 feet away a lot of businesses shut down early because it was so bad out
