Narrative:
The male driver of the KTM motorcycle was traveling eastbound on 55th Ave S from 38th St S when he lost control and struck the south curb. He was ejected from the motorcycle and collided with a light pole. Despite being transported to Essentia Health, he succumbed to his injuries.
Following this initial crash, another 19-year-old male on a Yamaha motorcycle attempted to avoid the crash site and overturned his bike, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. He was also taken to Essentia Health.
Both crashes are being investigated by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
