Fatal Deer Hunting Accident Claims Life of Man North of Bemidji

BELTRAMI COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) A deadly deer hunting accident is under investigation in Beltrami County, Minnesota, North of Bemidji.
we’ve had an accidental hunting death in beltrami county minnesota this in from beltrami county sheriff ernie vital on wednesday november 25th at approximately 7 16 p.m beltrami county sheriff’s office received a report from the fbi and red lake tribal police that they were investigating a hunting related fatality that occurred on or near the red lake reservation boundary in the twenty nine thousand block of irvine avenue near uh puposky in nevis township it was reported that during the course of the investigation the location of the incident may not have occurred within red lake reservation the deceased was identified as lucas r dudley age 28 of bemidji dudley was reportedly deer hunting east of irvine avenue near the south boundary road when he was shot by another hunter that hunter is identified as rain stately age 33 of redby minnesota stately and dudley reportedly were not hunting together near dusk stately stated that he observed a movement of what he thought was a deer and fired one round from his rifle when he discovered dudley he immediately called 911 and is cooperating with the investigation dudley was found to not be wearing a typical blaze orange or other high visibility clothing the deceased was transported to the midwest medical examiner’s office for an autopsy the incident is being investigated by the beltrami county sheriff’s office red lake tribal police department minnesota department of natural resources and the fbi no further information about the incident available at this time again that was from sheriff ernie bidel of the beltrami county sheriff’s department i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me
