DEVILS LAKE, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – On Friday morning, August 2, 2024, a tragic accident occurred 2 miles east of Devils Lake on Highway 2. At approximately 10:00 a.m., a 68-year-old man from Lo Zavala, Texas, was driving a Kenworth truck with an empty flatbed trailer eastbound on Highway 2. A 70-year-old woman from Lake, driving a Ford Edge, attempted to cross the highway and was struck at a right angle by the semi.
The impact resulted in severe injuries for the woman, who was transported to a hospital in Devils Lake but sadly succumbed to her injuries. The names of the individuals involved are expected to be released at a later date.
