we have an update regarding this crash just a mile south of bemidji on highway 71 at 3 16 p.m on friday it was fatal the minnesota highway patrol says a cat challenger tractor with a fertilizer cart was northbound and also a ford explorer was northbound uh when they collided as you can see here the ford explorer hit the back of that fertilizer cart the patrol says the driver of the ford explorer was killed the patrol says a 34 year old female driver from park rapids was killed her name will be released saturday evening the driver of the tractor 36 year old kyle schulke of bemidji was not injured i’m Neil Berg reporting for eye news dot tv

Tragic no matter the cause but could this have been another case of distracting driving? I was not there but if possible, the ditch would have been a better choice than hitting a large visible cart.

Was she texting or other distracted driving because thats a huge piece of machinery to not ahead of time out in the open. Its sad and prayers to the family but damn ppl need to start paying attention, theres no reason for this
