Lino Lakes (trfnews.i234.me) ā A fatal crash occurred on December 7, 2025, on northbound I-35E in Lino Lakes, Anoka County. The incident took place around 5:28 p.m., just north of County Road J.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2015 Chevrolet Cruze left the road and came to a stop in the median. The male driver, later identified as 66-year-old Paul Nicholas Theis of Forest Lake, MN, exited the vehicle and began walking into the lanes of traffic.
He was struck by a 2009 Honda CR-V, driven by 26-year-old Zachary James Beyer of Centerville, MN. Beyer was uninjured, wearing his seatbelt, and alcohol was not involved in the crash.

Tragically, Theis was fatally injured in the collision. Authorities confirmed that the crash occurred on dry road conditions. No additional information regarding the accident has been made available at this time.
The Lino Lakes Police Department and Allina EMS responded to the scene.
