Faribault County: Two Hurt in Highway 169 Rollover

FARIBAULT COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Two people were injured after a vehicle rolled off Highway 169 near Blue Earth City Township on Tuesday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 6:16 p.m. on October 8 along northbound Minnesota Highway 169 near 80th Street in Blue Earth City Township.

Authorities say a 2024 Chevy Malibu was traveling northbound when it left the roadway and rolled. The vehicle’s airbags deployed during the crash. The road was dry at the time of the incident.

The driver, identified as Heather Lin Kwasniewski, 37, of Delavan, Minnesota, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for treatment. A passenger, an 11-year-old boy also from Delavan, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital.

Officials reported that the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while the juvenile passenger was not. Alcohol involvement remains unknown.

Assisting at the scene were the Blue Earth Police Department, Blue Earth Fire and Medical Services, and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.
