Fargo Woman Charged With Felony Burglary

Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo woman has been arrested and charged with felony burglary after she was reportedly found inside a victim’s apartment.

Jolynn Short Hughes, 32, faces a felony burglary charge after the incident on November 27, 2025. According to police records, the victims returned to their apartment after being away for 30 minutes and found Hughes inside their second bedroom.

When questioned by officers, Hughes claimed she had found the apartment door open and entered out of curiosity. She was arrested at the scene without further incident.

The burglary charge stems from Hughes allegedly entering the apartment without permission. Under North Dakota law, burglary can lead to significant penalties, including prison time.

The case is currently in the early stages, with Hughes pleading not guilty to the felony burglary charge. A court hearing will determine further proceedings.
