West Fargo Woman Charged After Knife Threat In Domestic Incident

WEST FARGO, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me— A West Fargo woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly threatening a man with a knife and resisting arrest during a domestic violence incident. According to court documents, Lakresha Y. Mireau was arrested on the night of October 18 following a disturbance in the city.

Police were called at approximately 10:43 p.m. to a report that Mireau had brandished a knife during an argument with a male victim. When officers arrived, they found Mireau in the backyard. According to the report, she attempted to run around the officers and refused commands before being physically detained.

Officers said Mireau was combative and had to be dragged to a patrol car while screaming and yelling. During transport to a hospital for medical clearance, she allegedly slipped out of her handcuffs and damaged the patrol car. Witnesses at the scene told police that Mireau had been drinking and had also punched the victim multiple times during the altercation.

According to prosecutors, Mireau is now facing two felony chargesterrorizing and preventing arrest — as well as a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. She was booked into the Cass County Jail following her arrest.

The case remains under investigation by the West Fargo Police Department. No serious injuries were reported in the incident.
