FARGO ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A Fargo woman is facing felony charges after police stopped her in a stolen vehicle and discovered a large amount of methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Jolyn Rae Bruce of Fargo was arrested on October 27th after an officer received an automated alert for a stolen vehicle that might contain a handgun. Officers stopped the vehicle on the 1700 block of 1st Avenue North in Fargo.

Police did not locate a firearm but seized 47 grams of methamphetamine and tin foil commonly used for drug use from inside the vehicle. The vehicle itself was confirmed stolen.

Bruce is now charged with felony theft of property and felony possession of methamphetamine.

Under North Dakota law, felony drug and theft offenses can result in significant prison sentences and fines. More information on state drug laws is available through the North Dakota Attorney General’s Office.
