Clay County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Shelby Rose Diaz, 33, of Fargo, is facing a five-count criminal complaint after a series of incidents stemming from an alleged shoplifting case in Dilworth that led to felony-level drug charges inside the Clay County Jail.
Police were called to Walmart in Dilworth, where loss prevention reported that Diaz stole Pokémon cards and a Redbull valued at $12.92. She was located shortly after at a nearby Dollar Tree.
Diaz initially gave officers a false name and birthdate, but later admitted her identity and was found to have an active felony warrant. Upon her arrest, she requested officers bring her backpack containing “medications” to jail.
A jail search revealed 1.7 grams of cocaine and 44.7 grams of marijuana wax hidden in the backpack. Diaz is now charged with:
