FARGO, N.D (trfnews.i234.me) — On Thursday afternoon, a suspect was arrested without incident by law enforcement officials. The individual, identified as 37-year-old Gregory LaCroix, had been charged with attempting to kill another person and committing an act of aggression.
LaCroix’s arrest came after he allegedly shot someone once in downtown Fargo on the evening of last week. According to reports, the shooting occurred at approximately 2:30 a.m. near Broadway and 3rd Avenue North.
Following the incident, LaCroix fled the scene in a van. The victim was taken to Sanford Medical Center with serious injuries.
An eyewitness reported seeing the van before hearing a gunshot and witnessing it speed away from the area. The witness then used their sweater to cover the victim’s wound and asked another person to call 911 for assistance.
It is stated that LaCroix knew the individual he shot, but further details about this relationship are not provided in available reports.
LaCroix has been scheduled to appear before a judge on November 26. A bail of $750,000 was set by the court at his initial hearing.
