Cass County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Fargo Police have identified a suspect in a Monday morning carjacking. The case began at 8:43 a.m. when officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 26th Avenue North for a reported armed robbery.

According to police, the victim reported that a man threatened him with a firearm before stealing his pickup truck and attached flatbed utility trailer. Both the truck and trailer were later located and recovered unoccupied.

Through their investigation, officers identified 29-year-old Nathaniel Smith, who has no permanent address, as a suspect in the case. Smith is described as 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities are asking the public for assistance in locating Smith. Police warn that he should be considered armed and dangerous. They advise members of the public not to approach him, but instead to call 911 immediately if he is seen.

Anyone with information about Smith’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Fargo Police Department at 701-451-7660. Anonymous tips can also be submitted by texting the keyword “FargoPD” to 847411.

Police continue to investigate the incident and have not reported any injuries during the carjacking.
