Fargo, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — Fargo Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred early Sunday morning north of downtown. At approximately 1:42 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 1100 block of Third Street North. Multiple callers reported hearing the shots, and witnesses described several people in dark clothing running from the scene, along with a dark-colored vehicle running a stop sign nearby.
A short time later, officers located a black Chevy Impala in the 400 block of NP Avenue that matched the vehicle description. After making a traffic stop, police found several juveniles in the vehicle. During the investigation, officers seized multiple firearms from the car. Three male juveniles—two 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old—were taken into custody for unlawful possession of handguns. The Cass County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the detentions.
Several spent shell casings were found at the shooting scene, and officers canvassed the area to gather further evidence, identify witnesses, and determine if there were any additional victims.
At around 2:18 a.m., a local medical facility notified Red River Regional Dispatch that an adult male had arrived with a gunshot wound to his foot. The wound was not life-threatening. Officers interviewed the victim to gather more details, but the investigation is still ongoing, and it remains unclear what led to the shooting.
As the investigation continues, Fargo Police have not released further details to avoid compromising the case. Anyone with surveillance footage or additional information is urged to contact Fargo Police.
